Lyrics

What We Know

 In a world of confusion

Like a maze with no end

Too many choices for choosing

Lead to paths that are broken

There’s a shadow that’s falling overhead,

Fast approaches the night

No matter however dark it gets

We hold to a beacon of light

We Believe that the family is a sacred gift from above

We Proclaim that this unity brings us closer to our God

And We Know what We Know!

In a time of commotion

It’s hard to hear through the noise

Too many pieces in motion

Distracting from God’s voice

There’s a torrent that’s raging down below

Quickly gathering speed

Anxiously wading through murky waters

We’re desperately sharing this message of peace

We Believe that the family is a sacred gift from above

We Proclaim that this unity brings us closer to our God

And We Know what We Know!

Back To You

There’s a flame so divine within us

And it sparked before our birth

Out of the sky trailing clouds of glory

We arrived with a burning desire to prove our worth

Before this life began we all made a choice

(And we were singing like)

Lord, if you need me to be the salt of this unsavory world-

Then I will go and do

Like a pillar in the night sky there’s a fire within our eyes-

Let it shine for all to view

Father, bring us back to you

There’s a work that’s been set into motion

And a hunger that needs to be filled

There’s a light at the end of the tunnel

And a hope that the promises are real

(And we’ll be praying like)

Lord, if you need me to be the salt of this unsavory world-

Then I will go and do

Like a pillar in the night sky there’s a fire within our eyes-

Let it shine for all to view

Father, bring us back to you

If we can hold fast to our faith

And when we fall short, lean on His grace

When we have fought the fight, finished the race

Father, let us see thy holy face

Lord, if you need me to be the salt of this unsavory world-

Then I will go and do

Like a pillar in the night sky there’s a fire within our eyes-

Let it shine for all to view

Father, bring us back to you

Reaching

I may not have power to part the mighty ocean,

I may not have strength to move a mountain grand.

I may stumble and I may fall

But when I Stand-

I reach for you, You lift me high

You, alone, can light a darkened sky.

Oceans may dry, Mountains be broken

But there will be no end to what you’ve spoken.

I may not have power to rescue every brother

Nor the strength to carry all my fellow man,

But if one should stumble along the way

I can help him Stand-

I reach for you then reach for him,

You, alone, can calm the storms within.

Fierce winds may blow, Faith may be broken

But there will be no end to what you’ve spoken.

You reach for me, I feel your smile ,

With arms outstretched to carry your child

I reach for you, You lift me high

You, alone, can light a darkened sky.

Oceans may dry, Mountains be broken

But there will be no end to what you’ve spoken.

The Choice

Maybe it wasn’t part of your plan to raise me up, guide me by the hand

But somewhere there’s someone who can, and is aching for the chance

So don’t give up on me, I am here but I can’t speak-

Be my voice defend my choice to live and love and breathe-

Don’t give up on me

I know the road ahead seems hard I can hear the fear in your heart

You are stronger than you think you are,

Will you use that strength to give me my start?

So don’t give up on me, I am here but I can’t speak-

Be my voice defend my choice to live and love and be-

Don’t give up on me

 I’m driving down the freeway

Looking in my rear view mirror

I’m watching you as you sleep

You rest your head on the car seat

Close your eyes and you look so sweet

Not a worry in the world on your face

There’s something about a baby when they’re sleeping

That makes you wonder why you ever get mad

It makes you wonder where we came from and what we’re doing here

And what we’re all supposed to become

There’s something about a baby when they’re sleeping

A mother out there somewhere was brave enough to let you go

But you’ll probably never get to see her face

She made the choice, gave you a voice

I thank God I get to hear it everyday

In those sweet cries as I rock you to sleep, I think

There’s something about a baby when they’re sleeping

That makes you wonder how the world got so bad

It reminds you where we came from And what we’re doing here

And that every soul is precious in His eyes

Makes me wonder how He blessed me with a miracle like you

And what we’re both supposed to become ..

There’s something about a baby when they’re sleeping

Come Alive

There’s a mother and a father waiting

There’s a daughter and son who want to be together.

There’s a calling and a work we’re here for

Everybody wants a family that can be forever.

They’ll hold on if we reach.

Somebody from the other side

Is trying to wake up with open eyes.

They’re calling my name, they’re calling my name.

Someone from the other side

Is trying to break through to see the light.

They’re calling my name, they’re calling my name

To come alive.

God is asking us to find his children

A generation with a chance now to become perfected.

We are the hands that hold the feeble knees up,

We are the salt to go and flavor all the world, that accepts it.

They’ll hold on if we reach.

 Somebody from the other side

Is trying to wake up with open eyes.

They’re calling my name, they’re calling my name.

Someone from the other side

Is trying to break through to see the light.

They’re calling my name, they’re calling my name

To come alive.

With the spirit of Elijah, we bind ourselves to them.

A never ending link from the living to the dead.

And every single name has a history to learn.

You can feel it if you try and your heart will start to burn.

Somebody from the other side

Is trying to wake up with open eyes.

They’re calling my name, they’re calling my name.

Someone from the other side

Is trying to break through to see the light.

They’re calling my name, they’re calling my name

To come alive.

Love Will Survive

As a girl I used to dream of

The prince that someday I would love

He was strong, dark, handsome, and tall

My dreams, like me, were small.

As I grew older, something changed-

Real love and fairy tales are not the same

So I let go and that became the start

Of a broken but wiser heart, struggling:

For rich or poor, when lives are torn,

Would I give up the fight?

To have and hold if the fire turns cold

Will love survive?

Now here you are, showing me that there is more-

Things I never thought to look for

Our happy ending doesn’t have to wait

Because we choose it every day

For rich and poor, through every storm-

We won’t give up the fight.

To have and hold, heart and soul-

Love will survive!

Hearts may fail, during trying times

If love grows stale, how many say goodbye

The world spins faster enticing greener pastures

But I know that’s a lie.

As we raise children of our own

We’ll teach them how real love is grown

Through tender words and caring deeds each day

We’ll show them the way-

For rich and poor, through every storm-

We won’t give up the fight.

To have and hold, heart and soul-

Love will survive!

Precious

Here’s a story about a wooden man who couldn’t catch a break

Covered in gray dots filled with shame that he couldn’t shake

People worshiped their golden stars but didn’t realize

This little man fumbling by never looked in their eyes

Oh Oh don’t you know how precious you are?

There’s so much more to you than any golden star, golden star.

Glancing up he made a friend bright as a summer day

She shared how she’d shaken off what people think and say

She said: “It’s so simple once you decide to change

Up the hill, The carpenter, our master He awaits.”

Oh Oh don’t you know how special you are?

There’s so much more to you than any golden star,

He knows who you are.

So, timidly he climbed the hill and tiptoed to His place

There he heard a loving voice say “let me see your face,

My child let me show you how precious you are

I will give you gifts greater than all their stars

ake-free.. You know what they think doesn’t matter at all to me

For I know you are special I created you mistake free

Mistake-free, you can be free”

Bewildered but hopeful he started to leave and headed for the door

He looked back into His maker’s eyes as a gray dot fell to the floor

He Knows You

You’re all alone

And you feel like crying

Cause you can’t break free

And your heart feels like dying inside

Well who am I, you say

And what am I doing here?

He knows where the wind blows

And He knows where the rain falls

He knows where the rainbow ends

And where it starts back up again

So why wouldn’t He know you?

You shout God’s name

And wonder how far did it reach?

Cause you hear it echo back

And wonder does he really even know me?

He numbers the sands of the sea

Then why would he forget about me

He knows where the wind blows

And He knows where the rain falls

He knows where the rainbow ends

And where it starts back up again

So why wouldn’t He know you?

He knows you

He knows you

He knows you

He knows you

Do you know Him?

Shine

I took a picture of my life

For the whole world to see,

I was so desperate for acceptance

That got distorted by the filter of deceit

I wasn’t sure just who I was.

But did my best to look the part.

It was the quest for validation,

That kept me searching, yearning, grasping in the dark,

When through the noise a voice spoke to my heart-

You don’t have to give into the darkness,

You don’t have to listen to the lies

You could be the candle that burns brightest

All you have to do is try

Lets get our eyes up off the screen.

There’s so much that we can do.

We are surrounded by our brothers and sisters,

Who need some help from me and you.

You don’t have to give into the darkness,

You don’t have to listen to the lies

You could be the candle that burns brightest

All you have to do is try

To Shine!

Nothing else is ever more important,

nothing else could ever qualify,

When we share the burden of another,

We can change the world with our light!

You don’t have to give into the darkness,

You don’t have to listen to the lies

You could be the candle that burns brightest

All you have to do is try

To SHINE!

One Light

Light up the smile on the face of a child.

Visit the sick and the lonely,

and let ‘em know that they’re worth while.

Shovel your neighbors’ walk when it snows,

And watch how their love grows and grows.

It only takes one light, it only takes one heart,

To light up the world, make something better.

We can make a difference, if we try.

It only takes one

We pray for peace for the broken hearted.

Help an old family friend get his company started.

Smile at a stranger, and just say hello.

Tell your brother “I forgive you”,

Tell your mother, “I’m thinking of you”

And watch their love grow and grow.

It only takes one light, it only takes one heart,

To light up the world, make something better.

We can make a difference, if we try.

It only takes one

There was one before us who showed us the way,

And His one light, it still shines on, even to this day.

It only takes one light, it only takes one

It only takes one light, it only takes one heart,

To light up the world, make something better.

We can all make a difference, if we try.

It only takes one
